Summer of 2025
When I’m not in the clinic…
When I’m not working, I spend as much time in nature as possible. I enjoy walking local trails when the weather allows and find time outdoors deeply grounding. I love preparing nourishing, whole foods — including cooking, fermenting, foraging, and gardening — and see food as an essential part of health.
I also enjoy making small-batch herbal preparations, such as topical salves used to support comfort and recovery. Education remains a large part of my work; I spend many hours creating patient handouts and am currently working on a health book to help make evidence-informed, holistic health information more accessible. I share a deep love for animals, who continually remind me of the importance of care and presence.
How I Become a Naturopathic Doctor
I was born and raised in Transylvania, Romania, where my earliest experiences with healing came from my father, local elders, and community herbalists. Through them, I was introduced to plants, natural remedies, and the wisdom of traditional healing. This early foundation shaped how I understand health — as something whole, rooted in nature, and deeply personal.
I moved to Canada in the early 90s and later spent more than a decade working at Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children. My work focused on genetics research and medical education, particularly in the area of rare genetic conditions. Supporting families during vulnerable moments was deeply meaningful and continues to influence how I care for others today.
This experience ultimately guided me back to school to study naturopathic medicine. Today, my work integrates evidence-informed care with natural and traditional therapies. My goal is to offer thoughtful, personalized support to those who want to feel heard, empowered, and supported on their health journey.
I was a mature student at CCNM (Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine)
